There is one thing to consider with this type of deck. This allowed me to add some big creatures with the landfall ability to the deck. Previous versions of this deck were in the Golgari color combination with The Gitrog Monster as the commander, but with the release of the commander 2018 deck called nature's vengeance with Lord Windgrace commander, I changed the deck to the Jund color combination. In the beginning when I started to build the deck there were always pieces missing to fully support the deck's strategy, but lately with every new card released that is supporting this deck's strategy it's a dilemma what cards to replace for it. Patiently waiting for cards like Oracle of Mul Daya and Crucible of Worlds to get reprinted before I would buy a copy of them.

On the other hand, what is 10 bucks if you spend it on a game that has given you so much joy over the course of 25 years without ever getting boring.Īs a result of my unwillingness to buy too many expensive singles, this jund land matters deck has been years in the making. I can never escape the voice in the back of my head telling me it's just a piece of cardboard. I have been playing magic the gathering for over 25 years now, but I have only bought about 5 single cards that exceeded 10 EUR / 12 USD during those years and two of those are in this deck. I have always loved land matter strategies but was reluctant to build my own deck given the costs of some of the land matter cards I was interested in. I can only recommend everyone to build a land matters deck at least once. With the right combination of cards, lands can generate more mana, endless card draw and even an army of big beaters to overrun your opponents with. Lands and mana have always been a cornerstone of magic the gathering, but turning those lands into even more utility and value always guarantees a truly great and satisfactory game experience. This jund land matters deck might just be my favorite deck of all time.
